Remote access to your ByteBlower
Posted by Wouter Debie, Last modified by Pieter Vandercammen on 28 September 2020 02:47 PM

The ByteBlower server communicates over TCP with the ByteBlower GUI and other client applications. For most networks, being able to ping the ByteBlower server is sufficient to run tests.

Occasionally, network access is restricted between lab and office. In that case, the table can be used for your firewall configuration.

Protocol Portnumber Description
TCP 9002 Management traffic GUI/API <--> ByteBlower Server Application
TCP 9100 Heartbeat traffic Wireless Endpoint (WE) <--> MeetingPoint Server Application
TCP 9101 Management traffic GUI/API <--> MeetingPoint Server Application

When you don't have a Meetingpoint License on you system, then the last 2 rows are not required.
