How to: Change the password on a ByteBlower server

ByteBlower systems are shipped with following default username/password. You can use this password to remotely login into the system over ssh.
Follow these steps to change the password 1. Login into the systemConnect to the server using either a keyboard / screen or by using ssh. 2. Change the passwordUse the passwd command to change your password. NOTE: There is no way to recover the password once it is lost. In case of loss, the system needs to be re-installed ( contact support in this case ) Start the byteblower-configuratorContinue after the welcome messageSelect "System configuration"Choose "Change root password"Provide your new password ( no chars will be shown in the dialog )Retype your new passwordGo back to the main menuSave and exitConfirm to save and apply | |||||
