Remote access to your ByteBlower
Posted by Wouter Debie, Last modified by Mathieu Strubbe on 30 August 2022 11:24 AM

The ByteBlower server communicates over TCP with the ByteBlower GUI and other client applications. For most networks, being able to ping the ByteBlower server is sufficient to run tests.

Occasionally, network access is restricted between lab and office. In that case, the table can be used for your firewall configuration.

Protocol Portnumber Description
TCP 22 SSH
TCP 9002 Management traffic between GUI/API and ByteBlower Server Application
TCP 9100 Heartbeat traffic between Wireless Endpoint (WE) and MeetingPoint Server Application.
Through these heartbeats the WE is able to start new tests.
TCP 9101 Management traffic between GUI/API and MeetingPoint Server Application

When you don't have a Meetingpoint License on you system, then the last 2 rows are not required.
