ByteBlower 2.24 Release Notes
We are pleased to announce the release of ByteBlower v2.24. This intermediate update introduces the powerful new Interface Monitor feature across our Server and API components, alongside critical hardware lifecycle updates.
Feature Highlight: Interface Monitor
The headline feature of v2.24 is the Interface Monitor, designed to provide deep visibility into ByteBlower Interface statistics without the need to define specific ByteBlowerPorts.
Whether you are performing long-term lab monitoring or troubleshooting specific traffic flows, this feature provides real-time and historical data directly from the server level.
Comprehensive Statistics: Track transmitted (Tx) and received (Rx) packets, total byte counts, frame size distribution (min/max), and precise packet timestamps.
Result History: Access both interval and cumulative results with configurable sampling durations and buffer lengths.
Synchronous Monitoring: Utilize the "Batch Refresh" capability to get a time-aligned snapshot across all result histories simultaneously.
Flexible Filtering: Apply filters to monitor only the specific traffic flows relevant to your test case.
Curious about the possibilities? Keep an eye on the ByteBlower dashboard repository for an example of how this feature can bring you a great dashboard for monitoring your test lab!
Important: Hardware Deprecation Notice
Please note that as of December 2025, the ByteBlower 3100 and 4100 series servers have reached End-of-Life (EOL).
Version 2.24 is the first version that will no longer be released for the 3100 and 4100 series. Users of these series are encouraged to contact their account manager for information on hardware refresh programs to ensure continued access to the latest ByteBlower features.
Enjoy the Release!
This release is another step forward in our mission to provide the most comprehensive network testing platform on the planet. Weβre incredibly proud to give you the tools to validate the technology that will define the next decade of connectivity.
As always, weβre eager to hear your feedback. Dive in, try out the new Interface Monitor, and let us know what you build with them!
Happy testing,
β The ByteBlower Team
